This is a Full-Time Support Staff position at grade 215, with an annual salary range of $73,983 to $98,644. The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Job Summary:
|
The Business Intelligence Developer transforms institutional data into actionable insights that drive strategic planning, operational efficiency, and student success. This role designs, develops, and maintains interactive dashboards and visualizations (currently using Tableau), automates reporting processes, and ensures data accuracy and integrity. The BI Developer works closely with stakeholders to understand data needs, create user-friendly reporting solutions, and promote a culture of data-informed decision-making. Additional responsibilities include building data pipelines, streamlining reporting workflows, and providing training and support to enhance data literacy across the college.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
|
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, statistics, business analytics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
- Minimum four years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or dashboard/report development.
- Two or more years of experience with data warehouses or data management systems and common query/reporting tools (e.g., SSMS, SQL, TOAD, Cognos, SSRS, Crystal Reports).
- Strong understanding of relational database design, data warehousing, and ERP systems (e.g., Ellucian Colleague).
- Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., SPSS preferred, SAS, or R) and programming/syntax experience.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated success collaborating with senior leadership, IT, and academic/administrative teams.
- Experience presenting statistical analysis and research findings to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical users.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including training and presentation experience.

Essential Duties:
|
- Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, SQL, Excel, and SPSS to support decision-making across the College.
- Prepare and manage data sources, update dashboards as needed, and ensure accuracy and integrity of institutional data.
- Provide training and support to faculty, administrators, and staff to promote effective use of dashboards and improve data literacy.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests, extract and prepare datasets from Ellucian Colleague, and perform advanced statistical analyses, including predictive modeling and hypothesis testing.
- Collaborate and consult with College committees and stakeholders on data analysis and reporting needs
