Schedule:

Great student job with flexible schdedule.  On the job training for beginner bartenders.  The Post Retaurant & Bar is open 7 days a week.  Catering Events are possible 7 days a week, based upon guest needs. Primarilty evening and weekend hours that work great around a class schedule. 

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $6.00 to $9.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

A bartender prepares and serves alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages to customers or guests. Positions available in The Post Restaurant & Bar as well as Park Hotel catered events staff. 

  • Greet guests, take orders or make recommendations, and prepare and serve beverages.
  • Stock the bar with drinks, garnishes, and glassware, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state liquor laws, and applicable company policies.
  • This position is eligible for gratuities.

Qualifications:

  • Perform work under direct supervision.
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Obtain City of Madison license.
