Department Overview:
The Marquette Hotel and cafe was established in 2018, opening the cafe in 2021. We seek to hire motivated and friendly people who enjoy collaborating and the community. We offer many short shifts, ideal for university and college students. We offer a relaxed and professional environment to all our staff members, along with free drinks and food during your shift.
Anticipated Hours Per Week
4-8
Schedule:
The hours of operation are 7:45am- 2:15pm
We have morning and afternoon shifts on the weekends avalible.
This is a tipping hourly pay postion. Tips are pooled with cafe staff. You are gaurenteed $13.00 per hour. The pay goes up depending on tips
We are happy to share more on this when we meet for a short tour of the cafe.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
We seek motivated, friendly students ready to engage and serve the Marquette community.
The job consists of the following duties (duties subject to minor alterations):
- Wash dishes
-Preparing various foods
-Cleaning in the kitchen area
-Making smoothies
-Stocking various items in the kitchen
-Putting away clean dishes
Qualifications:
- Kitchen or dishwashing experience is not necessary
- ability to lift and carry 30-40 lbs.
Physical Demands
Lifting and carrying 30+ lbs, on your feet for long periods of time, stairs
