Position Summary/Job Duties:
Our sweet 21 year old girl, "Menna," with developmental delays needs some additional caregivers! This is a great opportunity for anyone studying child development, education (especially special education), medicine, nursing! We love UW students because they come with way more ideas and dedication to making Menna's life the best it can be.
Menna is developmentally around 1 or 2 years old - she non-verbal, needs help dressing, bathing, toileting and walks with a walker. She LOVES being around people and is very easy to work with. Sweet disposition, sweet smile, and super easygoing. (Many people like just being around her because of her zen energy!)
Caregiving hours with her would include feeding, helping her with physical therapy & mobility exercises, and diapering when necessary. Evenings and overnights would include bath and dressing. We're also open to any craft/playtime activities you want to get creative with!
We're flexible with hours in any of the below slots:
- weekdays from 2:30 - 7
- anytime on Saturdays and Sundays
- overnights once in a while during the summe when both parents are out of town.
Menna lives very close to the UW campus (off Monroe Street near Edgewood College) - a quick bike or bus ride from UW and almost across the street from Edgewood College.
She's COVID-19 vaccinated and boosted.
Hourly rate is $15-20 depending on experience.
