The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as the "heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907.

• Summer/Fall Semester 2025. Availability of working weekends and at least 1 closing shift is required on one weekday & weekend.

• Minimum Hour Expectation- 8 - 12 hours per week. (2 - 3 shifts) All shifts are between 4 -6 hours.     

• Unit Hours- (All units are open 10:00am - 11:00pm)       Shifts are: 9:00am - 3:00pm / 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM / 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM /12:00 PM - 6:00 PM / 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM / 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM / 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM / 6:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Keep in mind shifts are between 4-6 hours.

Unit Location:

• Lakefront Units are in the Memorial Union and are Strada, Daily Scoop, BBQ Stand and Lakeview Lounge. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Each role will have an aspect of cashiering and general customer service
• Handling, cooking and preparing food, including meat*
• Assisting with food and beverage service, including serving alcohol*
• Maintaining a clean work environment

Student Status- To be eligible for the Wisconsin Union positions, you must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or highschool (at least 16). It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment. Review UW Policy 5003- Student Hourly Employment for more information. If school is in break period (summer, spring, winter), applicants must intend to enroll in courses the following semester.
