Position Summary/Job Duties:

We’re looking for a part-time babysitter/nanny to help watch our five-year-old daughter. She’s full of big questions, spontaneous craft projects, and imagination, so bonus points if you can come up with clever mermaid names on the spot. We are relocatting to Madison from Eau Claire and hoping to find someone to help her feel settled in her new home!

When We Need You:

  • August: The week of August 4th, a flexible schedule set by you. We are looking for just a few morning or afternoon times to watch our daughter as we work/tackle house projects. Starting August 11th-August 29th, we need care roughly 8am-4pm as we will both back to work full time and school will not yet be in session.

  • During the School Year: A few nights a month for date nights or other events.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Afternoons full of imaginative play, drawing, storytelling, or backyard adventures

  • Light meal or snack prep

  • Just generally being a kind, calm, and fun presence

Who We’re Looking For:

  • You genuinely enjoy being around kids and are comfortable with the delightful chaos that can come with them

  • You’re dependable, communicative, and kind

  • You’re comfortable setting gentle limits when needed

  • In our daughter's words: "I hope they are nice, kind, and know how to read so that they can read to me."

  • Bonus if you’re CPR-certified or have experience working with younger children — but the right fit matters most

Location:
We’re located just a block from the Lakeside Street Coffee Shop in the Bay Creek neighborhood, on the bus-line and easily accessible by car or bike.
