Built in 1999 under the leadership of Wisconsin Badger and US Olympic Gold Medalist Bob Suter, Legacy20 Arena Middleton (formerly Capitol Ice Arena) was established to provide opportunities for local youth hockey players and grow the game of hockey in the greater Madison area. Legacy20 Arena Middleton offers two NHL size ice sheets, 2,600+ capacity, 2nd level beer garden, 9 private suites, commercial kitchen, and state-of-the-art AV and lighting system.
In 2024, under the guidance of Ryan Suter and the Legacy20 Organization, Capitol Ice Arena was restructured to become Bob Suter's Legacy20 Arena Middleton.
Bob Suter's Legacy20 Arena Middleton is home to the USHL Madison Capitols, Madison Capitols AAA Youth, Middleton Youth Hockey, Middleton High School, and many more.
The arena has hosted events including the WIAA State Boys and Girls Hockey Tournaments, the 2022 USA Curling Mixed Doubles National Championships, IIHF Women's U18 World Championship, and the Middleton Chamber of Commerce Sip, Sample, and Socialize.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Arena Staff/Zamboni Operator (experience highly recommended)
Looking for additional part time help working the rink, especially during our busy season! Bob Suter’s Legacy 20 Arena is looking for motivated, industrious, and passionate part time arena staff/zamboni operator. Job duties will include but not limited to: driving the Zamboni and cleaning the ice, supporting the USHL team during game days, preparing and maintaining locker rooms, basic cleaning duties around the arena like garbage clean up and vacuuming, supporting teams/coaches/referees, and more. We have part time positions open. Must be available to work weeknights and most weekends in the busy season, September-June (Friday/Saturday nights for USHL games). Job Type: Part-time/Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Zamboni/Arena Staff: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
