Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are seeking enthusiastic and engaging Respite Providers to join our team for the school year. As a Respite Care Provider, you will develop a friendly and professional relationship with your client and their family. During your shift, you will participate in home and community based activities with your client, while following their typical care routines. Respite care allows primary caregivers to have a break from their typical caregiving duties so they can complete their other responsibilities or participate in self-care. Respite care also allows the individual to have a break from their primary caregiver and develop new relationships. 

 

Duties:

Consistent and punction attendance

Join in activities/play alongside your client

Plan home or community based activities to do with your client 

Provide personal cares (bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom care, etc)

Offer positive & strengths based behavior support 

Align with the families home expectations and routines


Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older

Reside within Dane County, or willing to commute to Dane County for work

18+

Willing to learn a variety of procedures related to the clients needs
