Position Summary/Job Duties:

This part-time position is ideal for a student in health sciences and/or rehabilitation fields.  Seeking back-up caregiver support for an 88-year-old woman living at home ... she is in good shape cognitively and loves a good conversation. She is recovering from a fall/head injury and requires occasional assistance with emptying the urine bag for an indwelling catheter (training provided).  

Duties: Companionship, supervision with walking (uses a walker), occasional meal prep. Training will be provided for occasional assistance with leg-bag for indwelling catheter.  There is a sweet dog in the home, so must be comfortable with occasional need to let the dog in/out.

Wage Min/Max: $20

Anticipated Hours: 12 hours/week; occasional additional hours on weekends.

  • Experience with caregiving in some capacity

  • Honest and reliable

  • Enjoys interacting with the elderly

  • Flexible and fun

  • Driver's license required
