Position Summary/Job Duties:
Join us as a WARF Technology Transfer Intern!
Learn from a premier tech transfer organization by interning with WARF and you will:
Learn about patents, licensing and career opportunities within technology transfer
Gain insights into the processes of one of the world’s leading technology transfer organizations
Actively participate in the technology transfer process
Build your network of technology transfer professionals and peers
Responsibilities
Assist team with various licensing and IP related projects
Participate in outreach activities on campus and with potential commercial partners
Conduct market research and further analysis on selected patents or innovations
Internship Details
We are seeking a student to start in September and continue through summer of 2026. The intern would be able to work up to 5-10 hours per week in the office, between Monday through Friday and 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with hybrid location options possible. Our office is located at 614 Walnut Street, 13th floor along a bus route on the west side of UW-Madison campus.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Pursuing a graduate degree or postdoc within a scientific or technical discipline
Ability to work under general direction and collaboratively with others
Commitment to accuracy, detail management, and confidentiality
Aptitude to handle multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines
Commitment to respect, empowerment and accountability as well as teamwork and partnership
Physical Demands
Limited to typically office work
