Department Overview:
SMK is the General Partner of the Badger Fund. The Badger Fund is a $55 Million fund of funds that is the lead investor in six Wisconsin-based Venture Capital funds managed by first-time fund managers.
In April of 2024, the BFOF received its second appropriation of $25 million to be invested in Wisconsin Venture Capital. In addition, the fund was made evergreen. The Fund’s portfolio will continue to grow over the next decade.
Anticipated Hours Per Week
20 to 25 hours
Schedule:
20-25 hours per week. Flexibe schedule
Salary/Wage Range:
Monthly $25.00 to $25.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:
SMK seeks an aspiring accounting professional to support the business operations and professionals at the Fund. The assistant will gain exposure to the venture capital business.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate meetings and support external events
Track and report industry and portfolio data
Support accounting function
Office management
Publish the company’s quarterly newsletter
Qualifications:
Associate Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
Ability to work at the SMK office in Monona, Wisconsin
Advanced experience with Excel, PowerPoint and MS Office Products
Ability to work in results-focused team environment
