Position Summary/Job Duties:

Job Description: We are looking for someone to pick up our son from school one afternoon per week and then hang out with him at our house (or at the park nearby) until Mom & Dad are finished with work between 5 and 5:30. Our house is less than a block from the school, so it would be an easy transfer!

We're flexible on which day of the week it ends up being. Our son is signed up for the MSCR after school program, but we think he'd like to come home, relax, and do his own thing one day per week. On Mondays, the hours would be 1:30 - 5:30. Other days of the week would be 2:30 - 5:30.

We'd also love to develope a relationship with someone who can occasionally babysit on a Friday or Saturday night, approximately once per month.

Pay rate: $15/hr afterschool, $20/hr evenings (negotiable)

About our son: Simon is a charismatic 5 year old with a great sense of humor! He loves all kinds of music - both "kid" and "grown up" bands; dancing; reading; riding his bike; playing with cars & trucks; digging in the dirt / sand / gravel. He also has a right hand and arm that don't function in the same way as his left, due to an issue at birth. He doesn't let this difference slow him down, but he's a bit more clumsy than his same-age peers. We would be thrilled to find someone who could help him do some of the exercises / games that he is "assigned" at OT, to help him continue developing fine motor skills on his right side.
