Department Overview:

The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members and visitors through shared cultural, social and recreational events and experiences.

We anticipate this position to work Monday and Tuesday evenings, and a flexible shift on Fridays.

Unit Hours

  • 8a-5p Monday-Friday.

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $15.00 to $15.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with data entry and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
  • Scan, file, and organize documents both physically and digitally.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by a manager.
  • Maintain cash-counting files, reconciling employee sheets with cash offices forms.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals. 
  • Presents a pleasant and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
