Department Overview:

Creative Soul Camp offers kids ages 3-15 opportunities to explore their creativity through unique programming. Our camps and after school enrichment programs offer art, culinary, drama, music and yoga instruction to kids and encourage students to get creative in each of those areas!

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Site Lead/Site Director for our creative arts after school enrichment programs. The Site Lead/Site Director will take on a key leadership role, overseeing the daily operations of our program, coordinating with staff, and ensuring a positive experience for both students and parents. The ideal candidate will have a love for working with children, excellent communication skills, and a strong organizational ability. Your own reliable vehicle is required for this position as the program sites are in Middleton. If you are enthusiastic about creating a nurturing and creative environment for elementary school-aged children, we invite you to apply to join our collaborative, supportive team. We are passionate about offering kids opportuniites to be creative through art, yoga, culinary, drama and STEAM and we are looking for candidates excited about that, too! 

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the program site before staff and students arrive, including arranging rooms, preparing snacks, and organizing crafts and supplies.
  • Coordinate day-to-day communication with parents, including student absences, minor behavior incidents, and general inquiries, responding in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide supervision and support to program staff members, including Club Leaders and specialty instructors, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Collaborate with the Directors and Specialists to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that align with our creative arts curriculum during the Free Create and Club Connect and Specialty activities. 
  • Engage with students and assist Specialists and Directors as needed, using age-appropriate strategies that promote fun and creativity.
  • Interact with parents during drop-off and pick-up, maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor, and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, following program policies and procedures, and addressing any issues that may arise promptly and appropriately.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with elementary school-aged children in a camp, school, or similar setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with parents and staff members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage schedules, coordinate logistics, and maintain accurate records.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children, fostering their creativity, and creating a fun and engaging learning environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, taking initiative and demonstrating leadershipd
  • Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and email for communication and administrative tasks.
