Schedule:

We can be flexible with scheduling tutoring times, planning on a 2-hr session (1 hour/child) with Monday, Tuesday or Thursday early evening or Sunday morning/afternoon preferred. Tutoring would take place in our home, on the near west side (three blocks from Camp Randall, three blocks from Monroe Street/Trader Joes). 
 

Salary/Wage Range:

 Hourly $30.00 to $35.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are seeking a UW student to work with our children to support and reinforce their understanding of math concepts related to their respective grade levels (AP Calculus and accelerated algebra). 

  • Review weekly assignments to assess their understanding of math concepts
  • Help them to work through any concepts, assignments they find challenging
  • Support them in preparing for exams/tests
  • Reinforce in-class instruction by walking them through concepts and providing extra practice in certain areas, as needed

Qualifications:

We're seeking a UW student with strong math background, through calculus. Additional qualifications:

  • Ability to explain complex math concepts at an age-appropriate level
  • Ability to make math fun - even homework!
  • Previous tutoring experience is a significant plus
