Monona Academy of Dance values helping students grow in confidence and technique. We strive to give students a lifelong love and respect of dance. We aim to offer a well-rounded experience for dancers, introducing them to a variety of styles. There are opportunities for community performances and to join our competition team. 

Monona Academy of Dance was founded in the Madison area in 1948 and has since had students go on to professional careers in performance as well as many former students in teaching positions and studio ownership. 

Possible substitution opportunities on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30pm

Instructor needed on Friday nights from 4:30-7:30

We are in need of a hip hop instructor for dancers ages 5-18 for beginning to advanced classes. 

Transportation needed? Yes, we are on the east side of Madison. 

Previous experience needed? Preferred 

Responsibilities: Can commit to a weekly teaching schedule, writes class plans with developmentally age-appropriate material for students, will make choreography for end of year recital using material covered in class time throughout the year, communicates with office staff when any behavioral or placement concerns arise with students, attends staff meetings and is up to date with happenings around the studio.

-Trained in hip hop

-Can educate students on background of hip hop (history and vocabulary) 

-Preferred prior teaching experience is a plus

-Is able to provide developmentally age appropriate class material for students

-Is able to discipline the classroom as needed and communicate to office staff if information needs to be passed along to parents

-Uses age appropriate music for class
