We're seeking a conversation partner for a retired academic who needs a little extra company, 3 hrs/day, 2 to 3 days a week. We can pay $25/hr. The senior academic was born and raised in Italy and is fluent in Italian, French, and English. She would be happy to teach you Italian if you are interested! A bit more about her: She is in her 80s and independent; she loves walking, nature, animals, and books. Her research interests include Italian/Latin/Greek history, literature, philosophy, and Christian religions. It is not necessary for the conversation partner to have expertise in any of these areas; she simply would like to have someone to talk with when her daughter is at work during the day. The senior academic is struggling with mild to moderate memory loss issues, so we would appreciate a patient and caring conversation partner. A male-identifying conversation partner is preferred.
