Schedule:

Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays: Pick up at 3:10 p.m., drive to our home, play for an hour/hour and half (until 4:30/5ish).

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $20.00 to $25.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We’re looking for a compassionate, reliable college student to care for our 4-year-old daughter three afternoons a week. Ideal candidates are majoring in Early Childhood Education, Pre-Occupational Therapy, or Special Education, and have experience working with children who are slow to warm and highly sensitive.

Schedule

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays

  • Pick-up at 3:10 PM from school (located downtown)

  • Care until approximately 4:45 PM at our home on the West Side

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport our child from school to home

  • Engage in gentle, creative play and provide a calm, nurturing environment

  • Be attuned to emotional cues and support transitions with patience

Compensation

  • $25/hour

Qualifications

  • Currently majoring in Education, Special Education or Pre-OT

  • Prior experience with sensitive or slow-to-warm children

  • Reliable transportation (with insurance)

  • Warm, attentive, and emotionally intelligent
