The Soap opera has been serving high quality bathing & grooming products around the world since 1972! We are a small business located in Madison Wisconsin, but have had a website since 2000. We are most know for our custom scenting counter, where you can come in store and create your own custom fragrance on the spot! We also support up to 8 local charities a month, and love our community, as well as the environment with our good qulaity ingrediants and eco-friendly packaging.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The Soap Opera on state street here in Madison, is looking for an enthusiastic person who loves social media to join our team, and promote our busienss. The Soap opera has been a downtown staple here in Madison, since 1972, and are looking to remind people of our offerings, and gain more followers/customers. This person will work about 10 or so hours a week to organize social media, however if they'd like to take on additional tasks like helping with the webiste, or with sales in store that could be an additional 10 or so hours a week as well, so roughly 10-25 hours per week max.

Job Details:

  • Create any social media pages that could be benefical to The Soap Opera that we may not be utilizing yet
  • Come up with fun creative posts for all different social media platforms we have to ensure a positive experience for our followers, that drive sales
  • Coordinating with our website manager to work on social media posts/events/newsletters that will be cohesive weekly
  • Boost engagement on our social media platforms
  • Create new audiances on our social media platforms
  • Increase followers social media platforms
  • Direct people to purchase on our website and increase website sales.

Who we are looking for:

  • Marketing, business, and public relation students are highly encouraged to apply. Basically if you are studying how to promote a business we want to hear from you!
  • Ideal candidate would have extensive knowledge on social media platforms
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to be the face of our social media/events
  • Can drive new followers to engage our social media, and/or have a background in doing this already
  • Someone who loves bathing/grooming products, or small businesses
