Department Overview:

Chill family with a dog in a single family home with a big yard. Within walking distance to parks, library, and a couple of coffee shops.

Both parents mostly work from home.

We'll keep caffeinated beverages and your fave snacks on hand!

Anticipated Hours Per Week

14-16

Schedule:

  • 2 weekdays per week:
    • Thursday 7:30-2 or 8-2:30
    • We can be flexible on which day the other will be (Mon, Tues, or Wed) 7:30-4 or 8-4:30
    • One of the days can be 6 hrs, depending on your availability and how many hours you'd like to work
  • 30 min lunch break, generally around 12:00

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $18.00 to $20.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We're a family in McFarland looking for someone responsible, caring, and enthusiastic about childcare to watch our baby and sometimes hang out with our 11yo for a short period after school.

Looking for a longer-term commitment, ideally through summer 2026, but open to availability through beginning of summer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Bottle feedings, meal prep and serving, snacks
  • Nap time(s) as needed
  • Diaper changes
  • Developmentally appropriate activities, including reading, time outside, playtime, etc.
  • Tidying/cleaning associated with childcare (ex: cleaning up after meals, keeping play areas reasonably cleaned, changing baby's clothes as needed)
  • Hanging with 11yo when home (generally including him in activities or just letting him share about video games and other interests)
     

Qualifications:

  • Experience with child care
  • CPR certified (before start date)
  • Reliable transportation + clean driving record
  • Comfortable with dogs
  • Enthusiastic about early childhood development and learning
  • Up to date on vaccinations

Physical Demands

Lifting, changing, carrying, and generally keeping up with an active 10 month old!
