Position Summary/Job Duties:
Our family is looking for one or two students to help us care for our mother. Our mother is 96-years old and uses a walker to move about her house. She needs help with physical therapy exercises, activities of daily living, simple household tasks and toileting. She enjoys being with other people, chatting, watching tv (especially sports and funny movies), and watercolor painting. She has a sweet little dog who loves to look out the window and keep our mom company.
Our mom lives in Shorewood Hills, a short walk from the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Waisman Center and the Bakke Recreation Center.
We’re looking for someone 18 years of age or older, with good communication skills and a sense of humor. We’re seeking a team player who is patient and flexible. Vaccinations for flu and Covid-19 required. Expected hours would be 8 to 15 hours per week; flexible hours for the right person.
Qualifications:
18 years of age or older
Vaccinated for flu and Covid-19
Patient and flexible
Friendly with a good sense of humor
Physical Demands
Must be able to physically assist in home health care duties including toileting and help with physical therapy.
