Job description:

Part-Time Martial Arts Instructor

– Verona, WI

Our program is a community-based martial arts curriculum focused on access, confidence-building, and youth development. We work with children and teens in welcoming, inclusive spaces, using martial arts to teach discipline, resilience, and belonging. We are currently seeking a part-time instructor to join our growing team.

Who You Are:

You hold a black belt in any martial art (Shotokan experience preferred).

You are willing to study or deepen your training in Shotokan Karate.

You are open to learning from and collaborating with our student black belts, who have trained in this program for years and bring deep institutional knowledge.

You enjoy working with kids and teens and understand that teaching is as much about encouragement as it is about technique.

You can pass a background check and complete mandated reporter training.

What You’ll Do:

Assist in leading youth martial arts classes.

Support beginner and intermediate students in learning fundamentals.

Model safe, respectful training practices.

Help maintain a positive, community-centered dojo culture.

Compensation:

$12+/hour, based on experience and expertise

Part-time, evening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This is a great opportunity for a college student who loves martial arts, is interested in teaching or coaching, and wants meaningful, supervised experience working with youth.
