Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Role
As Assistant Manager, you are the right-hand leader of our daily operations. You’ll jump between managing guest experiences, overseeing standard operations, and leading a small, dedicated staff. This isn't a "sit-at-a-desk" job; it’s active, varied, and keeps you on your toes.
What You’ll Be Doing
Team Leadership: Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing staff while maintaining fair and consistent scheduling.
Daily Operations: Oversee room cleaning, laundry, and general facility upkeep to ensure everything is "Willy Street sharp".
Guest Connection: Manage guest communications via Airbnb, text, and email, handling everything from booking questions to troubleshooting.
To-Do List Support: Help tackle the administrative to-do list. This could be from addressing room listing edits to ensuring an extra cleaning task is resolved by a certain date.
Problem Solving: Tackle the "weird stuff" that comes with hotel life—from unclogging a drain to handling a stray spider with grace.
Neighborhood Liaison: Assist with building partnerships with surrounding local businesses to strengthen our community presence.
Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
Tech Savvy: Comfortable with Google Workspace, Booking Platforms (Airbnb/Expedia), and AI/emerging technologies.
Reliability: You are on time, every time.
Independence: You’re an adult who takes initiative—you don’t need a reminder to find a task when things get quiet.
Physical Stamina: You’re comfortable walking stairs regularly and staying active throughout your shift.
Physical Demands
There is no elevator in hotel. Must also be able to lift about 40 lbs.
