The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members and visitors through shared cultural, social and recreational events and experiences.

The Facilities Admin Office hours are 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters and 9:00 am to 1:00 pm during the Summer.  Most students work 5-10 hours per week depending on availability and number of students employed.  Successful applicants are required to work at least 5 of the 6 Badger Bash events in the fall semester (2026 dates: 9/12, 9/19, 10/3, 10/24, 11/7, and 11/28).

• Greet customers and answer phones 
• Provide building information 
•  Complete standard office tasks 
• Maintain an orderly office 
• Perform guest ambassador duties in the fall during Badger Bash

• Oral, written and interpersonal communication skills 
• Knowledge and experience with a windows environment and MS Office Suite 
• Spelling, punctuation, grammar and proofing skills  
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. 
• Familiarity with standard office equipment (copier, postal meter, etc.)
• Prior office or Information Desk experience is desirable but not required.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check

We are also hiring 6-8 students to work the Badger Bash events ONLY.  You would be required to work at least 6 of the 7 game days, approximately 3.5-4 hours per game.  Based on office staffing needs, there could be a possibility to work at the Facilities Admin front desk in the future.
