Nanny Needed for Energetic 2-Year-Old

We are looking for a caring, playful nanny to spend time with our active 2-year-old in our home near the Fitchburg Target area. Our toddler loves pretend play, coloring, climbing, and spending time outdoors, so we’re hoping to find someone who enjoys being silly, creative, and fully engaged in toddler play. Safety is our number 1 priority, but fun is a close number 2. 

Location: Our home near the Fitchburg Target area
Start Date and Hours: Hiring for around 20 hours per-week this summer during typical 9-5 work hours, and ideally starting ASAP with a few hours per-week the rest of the spring semester. 

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaging care for our 2-year-old in our home

• Play, read, color, and participate in imaginative play

• Spend time outdoors (yard play, walks, play at the park)

• Prepare simple snacks and meals for the toddler

• Clean up after meals and activities

• Help with nap time routines

• Assist with potty training (child is mostly potty trained but may need help and occasional accident clean-up)

Ideal Candidate

• Has experience caring for toddlers and can remain calm during a toddler meltdown

• Enjoys imaginative, active play and can be silly and engaging

• Comfortable around a large dog

• Able to reliably travel to our home

• Physically able to lift and carry a toddler

• Comfortable spending lots of time outdoors

Preferred but Not Required

• Child CPR certification

• Previous nanny or childcare experience
