Schedule:

The schedule is flexible and planned in advance.

Typically 1–2 evenings per week, Monday–Thursday

  • Most weekday shifts are 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Occasional additional needs may include:

  • Friday evenings
  • Saturday mornings or evenings
  • Sunday mornings or evenings

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $15.00 to $17.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are a local family seeking a kind, reliable college student with experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum to provide evening respite care for our 20‑year‑old son.

Our son is largely independent with personal care and needs a responsible adult presence in the home to ensure safety, assist with simple meals/snacks, and provide calm support when needed.

This is a low‑stress, student‑friendly position with ample downtime for studying and high‑speed internet available.

Funding for this position may be provided through the IRIS program.

Qualifications:

Prior experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder required

Familiarity with behavior support and de‑escalation strategies

Dependable and able to work independently

Comfortable with dogs (two friendly golden retrievers in the home)

Great fit for students in education, psychology, social work, nursing, OT/PT, or healthcare.
