Four Winds Farm is a working permaculture farm and event center focused on regenerative growing practices and long-term land stewardship. The event ceter hosts a variety of private and public events throughout the year including weddings, celebrations of life, work gatherings, agricultural classes, and large community events like their annual summer food truck festival.  

The property sits on 86 acres of restores prairie, oak savannah, and farmabe land. Primary crops include hops, Kernza perennial grain, chestnuts, and pastureland for a flock of 30 dual purpose sheep. 

The Fitchburg Farmers Market is held every Thursday 3-6 pm at the Agora Pavilion, 5500 E Cheryl Parkway from May 7 - October 29, 2026. Candidate must have availability to attend these market events.

Weekly schedule can be determined by candidate, provided prep for markets is complete prior to each event. Morning availability preferred for vegetable harvesting. Four Winds farming staff is on property 8-4:30 Monday-Friday.  

A plus if the candidate has Saturday morning availability. 

The Fitchburg Farmers Market is held every Thursday 3-6 pm at the Agora Pavilion, 5500 E Cheryl Parkway from May 7 - October 29, 2026. The Farmstand & Farmer’s Market Coordinator will work with Four Winds Farm Staff to gather and sell goods on behalf of Four Winds at the Market. They will act as an ambassador of Four Winds Farm, sharing information about our events and opportunities to engage with the land. This position will function as a Farm-to market model, and the market coordinator will be involved in the harvesting of fresh produce used for the market and our on-property farmstand.  

Desired Skills:  

• Valid driver's license and comfort driving a company vehicle (truck)  

• A love for socializing and meeting new people! 

• Ability to learn basic cashiering and handheld payment systems 

• Ability to work independently and efficiently 

• Ability to learn and complete manual tasks including produce harvesting. 

Responsibilities:  

• Limited harvesting of seasonal produce, herbs, and flowers for markets 

• Setting up, monitoring, and re-stocking Four Winds Roadside Farmstand  

• Gathering items and loading them into vehicle prior to Thursday market events 

• Driving to Market, unloading vehicle, setting up table, and selling merchandise at weekly Farmer’s Markets 

• Engaging with community members about Four Winds products, farm ethic, classes, and event opportunities 

• Market take-down and clean up 

Experience cashiering and handling cash/ cards. Kind and sociable personailty in a market setting. Confidence and ability to communicate our organization mission, work, and events people can engage in at Four Winds Farm. A passion for, or interest in, sustainability and agriculture.
