Schedule:

The Schedule

  • The "Bridge" Month (May): We have a gap in care for 2 days a week (16 hours) throughout May.
  • The Official Start: Beginning May 26, care is needed from 12:00 PM to 4:00/4:30 PM.
  • Long-Term (1 Year+): We are looking for a consistent partner for the next year. We are flexible and can offer 2–4 days per week based on your schedule.
  • Days Off: We follow the MMSD calendar. You can take these days off or watch both our toddler and preschooler for extra hours.

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $19.00 to $25.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Are you looking for a consistent, meaningful afternoon role that fits around your classes? Our family is seeking a warm, reliable, and attentive nanny for our sweet 18-month-old daughter. We are located in Midvale Heights, just a short walk from major bus lines—perfect for students commuting from campus!

The Role & Philosophy

We practice Positive Parenting and Montessori principles. We view our nanny as a vital part of our "parenting team." Your day will include:

  • Lunch & Nap: Providing a healthy lunch and assisting with a "snuggle nap" (we prioritize responsive, high-touch care).
  • Developmental Play: Engaging in outdoor play, reading, and age-appropriate Montessori activities.
  • Light Tidying: Helping with lunch cleanup and toy organization while the little one naps or plays independently.

Who You Are

  • Experienced: You have previous experience with toddlers (ages 1.5–2.5).
  • Engaged: You are playful, warm, and enjoy the curiosity of this age group.
  • Reliable: You value consistency and clear communication.
  • Commuter-Friendly: Our home is easily accessible via Madison Metro, making for a stress-free commute.

Compensation

  • $19 per hour or more, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

Previous Experience with 1.5-2.5 year olds. Ideally, someone with a background in child development. 

Physical Demands

Being able to lift, wrangle, and play with a toddler.
