Position Summary/Job Duties: | We are a family of four with a friendly goldendoodle based in Middleton, and are seeking a loving, reliable, proactive, and patient part-time nanny to grow with our family over the next 1–2 years.
Currently, we have 2 wonderful part-time nannies who alternate days across the work week to provide care for our two girls — one covers M/W/F 9-6p, while the other covers T/Th 9-6p. Our T/Th nanny will sadly be moving out of state this summer to attend grad school, so we are looking for someone to fill her role.
Ideal start would be in June or July, but can be flexible on a later start date in August for the right person.
Kids & care
We have two daughters: a very happy, giggly 1-year-old (14 mo) and a sweet 4-year-old who loves to dance, sing, read books, and do puzzles.
14-Month-Old: Primary care is for our youngest, who is not yet in daycare. This would be full-day responsibility for 2 days a week (Tue & Thurs 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
4-Year-Old: Our oldest is currently in half-day preschool 5 days a week. She will need care once she is home, typically from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Please note we do plan to transition her to full-time preschool beginning this fall, which would shift her nanny care hours to 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Engaged playtime and safe, age-appropriate, non-screen time activities (e.g., reading stories, outdoor playground / stroller walks, playing with toys, music / singing / dancing).
- Meal preparation and bottle feeds for the 14-month old.
- Light child-related tasks (baby dishes, kids’ laundry, and organizing play areas).
- Note: Both parents work from home for west-coast companies but are primarily in home offices / meetings throughout the day.
Requirements
- Experience caring for infants (under 2 years old)
- Preferred: experience caring for two kids at one time.
- Up-to-date on vaccines.
- Clean driving record & highly safety-conscious
- Warm, loving, punctual, patient and communicative personality.
- Must provide at least two nanny references from previous families.
- Note: Our goldendoodle is sweet and friendly but large (60 lbs), so must be comfortable around larger dogs.
Logistics
- Ideal Start Date: Monday, June 1st (but open to a later start date in July or August for the right fit person)
- Part-week Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-6pm (can be a little flexible on start time if needed)
- Length of time: Prefer someone who can grow with our family for at least 1+ year
