Summary: Join our team as a Server and be part of delivering top-notch service at high-energy UW-Madison sporting events! You’ll serve food and beverages with excellence, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests. If you have a passion for hospitality, a positive attitude, and love working in a fast-paced environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you!  Anticipated start date in July. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensure food and beverages are properly displayed and maintained throughout the event to provide a high-quality guest experience. 
• Open, modify, and close guests' checks using an electronic tablet. 
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests receive friendly, courteous service at all times. 
• Serve food and beverages in a timely and gracious manner. 
• Thoroughly clean and organize the event area after the event, ensuring everything is returned to the catering facility promptly. 
• Stock, clean, and maintain your assigned location and equipment for smooth operations. 
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu and products available for guests. 
• Follow safety and sanitation policies to maintain a safe work environment. 
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure a successful event. 

Qualifications: 

• Team player with a positive, friendly attitude and a passion for great service. 
• Previous food service experience is preferred, especially in high-volume settings. 
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, organized, and detail-oriented. 
• Ability to remain professional when interacting with high-profile guests, including donors, alumni, and former athletes. 
• Availability to work all UW-Madison Football games and a majority of events at the Kohl Center for the 2026-2027 season. 
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification & Alcohol Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain). 
• Ability to walk and stand for long hours in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
