General office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 to 5:00. Early morning and evening work outside of these times will be required based upon project needs. (Overtime pay at time-and-a-half will be provided for weekly hours beyond 40 per week.)

Soils & Engineering Services, Inc., a locally-owned Madison, Wisconsin-based geotechnical engineering firm, is seeking to add a summer Student Driling Technician to our team. We are a small-sized company that works on large-scale projects. Our student technicians are able to build upon their classroom knowledge by collecting data, subsurface samples, and supporting our drilling team with drilling tasks.

This is an excellent opportunity for a science-minded individual who would enjoy combining academic interest with physical outdoor work. 

Early morning, evening and out-of-town overnight work may be needed based upon project needs.

Sophomore or higher standing. All majors will be considered, with a preferred major in STEM-related fields such as Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or Geological Engineering. A valid drivers license is required.
