Position Summary/Job Duties:

We’re seeking a small, dedicated team of Sales & Marketing Interns to support lease-up efforts for three of LZ’s properties on campus starting in late August/beginning of September. We’re looking for energetic, personable individuals with exceptional communication skills and the willingness to learn! Successful candidates are proactive, coachable, highly organized, and excited to contribute ideas in a collaborative sales environment. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conducting property tours and assisting with leasing activities under the guidance of LZ Management’s leasing team.  

  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, including Fair Housing guidelines, confidentiality standards, and professional leasing practices when communicating with prospective and current residents. 

  • Respond to prospect inquiries via phone, emails, and text.  

  • Maintain detailed notes and follow-up communication with prospective residents.  

  • Support social media/leasing and marketing events both on campus and within the community.  

  • Maintain organized, tidy, and professional leasing spaces.  

  • Conduct weekly competitor research including pricing, concessions, occupancy trends, and marketing initiatives and present competitor findings during weekly team meetings.   

  • Contribute ideas to improve leasing strategies and prospect experience.  

Qualifications: 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Teams, Excel, etc.) 

  • Willingness to learn sales/communication techniques.  

  • Comfortable speaking with prospects, parents, and curating relationships.  

  • High school education diploma required, some college education preferred.  

  • Previous sales experience, customer service, hospitality, fundraising, or leadership experience preferred.  

  • This position requires availability for scheduled leasing activities, including occasional evenings, weekends, and community events during peak leasing periods. 

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to complete required employment documentation. 

Working Conditions 

  • This is a part-time position, beginning in late August/early September of 2026 and lasting through December of 2026. There is potential for the internship to be extended into the spring/summer of 2027. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required for certain events/campaigns.  

  • The Leasing & Marketing Intern will work in an office environment, at the properties or at a satellite office.  

  • This position may require travel among campus properties and events. All required sites will be within walking distance of the properties.

Compensation: 

  • Competitive wage of $17/hour.  

  • Eligible team members may earn additional team lease-up bonuses upon achieving specific occupancy milestones at Grand Central, X01, and Luminary.
