Sardine, a busy lakeside bistro overlooking Lake Monona in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a dedicated Lead Host to become an integral member of our team. Under the direction of owners/chefs John Gadau and Phillip Hurley - co-founders of Sardine, Gates & Brovi, and Marigold Kitchen - we invite you to be a part of our service team.

Lead Hosts are required to have evening and weekend availability and work a minimum of three dinner shifts. Dinner begins at 3:00 pm and Brunch begins at 8 am. 

Assist our management team in coordinating front-of-house operations to deliver a seamless guest experience and uphold Sardine’s high service standards.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests while managing reservations and waitlists.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns professionally and positively.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area.

• Host stand experience
• Restaurant experience
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Professional and friendly demeanor
• Excellent customer service skills
• Providing our guests with consistent and welcoming service.
• Exceptional multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to create a welcoming atmosphere.
