Weekend scheduling for part-time work at 10-20 hours per week. Must be available to work Saturdays.

The University Book Store is now hiring sales associates at our State Street store to work weekends. We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused team member for a part-time role, requiring 10 to 20 hours per week. Must be available to work Saturdays. 

Our Service Sales Associate will primarily work in the lower level at our State Street location to provide information and promote sales regarding course materials, Wisconsin Badger clothing and gift items, art and office supplies, IKEA pick-up and in-store services.   

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide excellent customer service by performing UBS customer service expectations.
• Accurately operate registers to complete customer transactions.
• Maintain sales floor presentation by stocking, straightening, and cleaning merchandise and fixtures, unload and move merchandise to and from the sales floor.

The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service and communication skills and demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to perform job duties. 

• High School degree
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.  
• Ability to perform intermittent climbing and bending. 
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills. 
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to perform a variety of tasks.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
