Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are looking for a reliable, energetic after-school nanny for our 7.5-year-old twin boy and girl (2nd grade) for the upcoming school year. I work from home in a separate office space, so I will typically be around if needed, but I need someone to fully take charge of after-school care so I can finish my workday. Please note that I will also occasionally be away from home during your shift for appointments or other personal commitments, so you must be fully comfortable working independently.

We also have a dog, so applicants must be comfortable with pets!

Our neighborhood has lots of kids around, so our home is often a fun hub for friends. We are also completely fine with the twins heading over to their friends' houses after school. They wear Gizmo watches, so you will easily be able to contact, track, and call them home when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet the twins at our house when they get off the school bus at 3:00 PM.
  • Prepare a light after-school snack.
  • Supervise play, which includes managing a rotating crew of neighborhood friends hanging out at our house, or tracking the twins via their Gizmo watches if they go to a neighbor's house.
  • Help manage and limit screen time so they aren't on devices the whole afternoon.
  • Guide them to start or finish light second-grade homework.

Compensation & Tax Status:

  • Hourly Rate: $20.00 to $25.00+ per hour, depending on experience.
  • Guaranteed Pay: You get paid your full baseline weekly rate every week, even if we come out of the office early, go on vacation, or don't need you for one of your scheduled days.
    • If working 3 days (7.5 hours): $150.00 to $187.50+ guaranteed per week
    • If working 4 days (10 hours): $200.00 to $250.00+ guaranteed per week
    • If working 5 days (12.5 hours): $250.00 to $312.50+ guaranteed per week
  • Tax Status: This is a fully legal, W-2 payroll position. Taxes will be withheld automatically via a household payroll service.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Must have your own reliable vehicle to safely commute to our home in Waunakee.
  • Dependable, punctual, and highly responsible when working completely unsupervised.
  • Non-smoker.

Application Instructions:

To Apply:
Please send a message introducing yourself, your preferred schedule (3, 4, or 5 days), your general availability for the semester, and a brief summary of your experience with kids. References required upon request.
