Position Summary/Job Duties:
Start Date: Late Summer/Fall 2026
Responsibilities: 10+ hours a week to:
Provide companionship and engage individual in meaningful activities based on her interests
Monitor her mental status, reporting any changes to her primary care partner and family
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
Communicate effectively with the individual, her care partner, and her family
Be available for flexible scheduling as needed
Qualifications:
Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in nursing, speech-language pathology/communication sciences and disorders, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, social work, or a related healthcare field preferred. Candidates with equivalent dementia caregiving experience are encouraged to apply.
Valid driver license and reliable transportation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and follow directions
Pay: $30–40/hour based on education, experience, and relevant training.
Undergraduate students: starting at $30/hour
Graduate students with relevant coursework/clinical experience: up to $35/hour
Registered nurses or candidates with significant dementia care experience: up to $40/hour
