Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are seeking a responsible, fun, kind and flexible individual to help with the care of our 2yr old son as well as light household tasks during nap time (putting away dishes, laundry, letting the dog out etc).

Both parents are ER physicians with nontraditional hours, therefore schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings or the rare (and unlikely) overnight. Because there may be variability in our schedules, we are more than willing to work with an applicant to figure out a schedule/commitment that works for everyone (guaranteed hours, preferred days of the week etc). We want to work with you and we want you to be part of our family.

As a family we love the outdoors (hiking, biking, skiing, swimming, gardening etc), cooking, music and travelling. Our little guy is pretty chill and enjoys the same. We have a 13 yr old chocolate lab mutt-mix who will be home at all times as well.

We live outside of Madison on nearly 100 acres near Spring Green, WI, a small vibrant farming and arts community on the Wisconsin River in the driftless region.  Ideal candidate will find value in occasionally getting out of the city and enjoying time in the country. We are okay with fieldtrips into town/Madison. Compensation will reflect drive time/gas. Future opportunities for house or dog sitting may exist.

Qualifications:

Childcare experience preferred though not required. Preference to those who are CPR and First Aid certified. Applicant must enjoy being outside with a toddler. Will need a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.

Application Instructions:

If you think you might be a good fit, we would love to chat! Please reach out to pmieritz@gmail.com and include the following:

- Short description of yourself

- List of 3 references (not all need to be childcare related)

- Resume
