Schedule:

Morning

  • Arrive at our home in McFarland around 7:30–7:35 AM
  • Help our son get into the vehicle and safely secured
  • Drive approximately 12 miles to his school in the Madison/Sun Prairie area
  • Arrive at school by approximately 8:00 AM
  • Safely walk/escort him to the appropriate school entrance or staff member

Afternoon

  • Pick him up from school at approximately 4:00 PM
  • Safely transport him home to McFarland
  • Ensure he safely enters the home
  • Typical end time is approximately 4:20–4:30 PM

Salary/Wage Range:

 Weekly $100.00 to $200.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

We are looking for a reliable, caring, and patient individual to provide daily transportation for our 5 year old son to and from his therapy school.

Our son is autistic, verbal, and non-conversational. He is generally very easygoing during car rides and will typically sit in the back seat, listen to music, or sing a song. He does not require extensive care during the drive, but he benefits from a calm, patient, and predictable adult.

The most important part of this position is safe transportation, reliability, and comfort working with children, particularly children with autism or other developmental differences.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle appropriate for transporting a child
  • Clean and safe driving record
  • Current auto insurance
  • Reliable and dependable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Great if you have experience working with kids
