Department Overview:

The mission of the UW Athletic Ticket Office is to maximize ticket sales by providing excellent service for Wisconsin Athletics.

The UW Athletic Ticket Office administers the sale, distribution and reconciliation of tickets for athletic contests and other special events involving the University of Wisconsin.

Anticipated Start Date:

Successful Candidates can begin immediately, upon passing a background check

Anticipated End Date (If Applicable):

Year Round Employment is available, including during academic breaks

Remote Work Eligibility Detail:

Job duties are on-site only. No remote eligibility

 

Anticipated Hours Per Week:

Students can anticipate working 10-20 hours per week, including office and event shifts

Schedule:

The Athletic Ticket Office is open from 9:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday. Additionally, student staff are required to work night and weekend events, including the REQUIRED home football games

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$14.00 per hour

Applicant should be a student and available to work ALL HOME FOOTBALL GAMES

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong Candidates:

  • Enjoy finding solutions to complex issues; experience in problem solving
  • Team Oriented and adaptable to work in a fast-paced athletics environment
  • Represent Wisconsin Athletics in a professional manner
  • Interested in college athletics and/or connecting with their UW-Madison Community

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Students in this position operate as direct representatives of Wisconsin Athletics by handling the following duties to assist the Athletic Department:

  • Over the phone and in-person customer service
  • Over the phone and in-person athletic ticket sales
  • Complimentary ticket administration
  • Data entry, filing, preparing mailings and other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Employees regularly sit, stand, talk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone. Light to moderate lifting can be required. Ability to assist in preparations and event set-ups. There is also outdoor requirements.
