Department Overview:

The School of Nursing Academic Affairs & Student Services Office consists of multiple departments, all of which support undergraduate and graduate level students as they progress through their nursing education. Departments include Admissions & Recruitment, Advising & Student Services, Clinical Placement, Student & Curricular Data, Center for Technology-Enhanced Nursing, and Academic Technology.

Schedule:

All work shifts will take place between 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. Shifts are typically a minimum of 3 hours and will work around your class schedule.

Qualifications:

Current UW-Madison student in a major other than pre-nursing or nursing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal & written), strong customer service skills and high level of professionalism, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, good problem-solving skills and critical thinking

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The primary responsibility of the Student Hourly position in the School of Nursing Academic Affairs Office is to cover the reception desk and help the Academic Affairs Office staff with tasks and projects. Tasks may include scheduling advising appointments, keeping track of supplies, answering and monitoring phone calls, data entry/research projects, event planning assistance, photocopying, filing, cleaning, and assisting with other tasks that arise.
