Department Overview:

 WIDA, housed at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research, advances academic language development and academic achievement for children and youth who are culturally and linguistically diverse through high quality standards, assessments, research, and professional learning for educators.

Qualifications:

 Current UW Madison Student

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Knowledge of students with disabilities or multilingual learners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage workload and work independently to meet deadlines and expectations.
- Experience with data entry or completing transcription for research studies.

Preferred:
- Spring full time availability

Position Summary/Job Duties:

- Create and format documents for internal and external uses
- Transcribe data for analysis
- Assist with developing materials for meetings, including contributing to the development of accessible materials and conducting accessibility reviews
- Photocopy and scan documents
- Compile and organize feedback and data for review
- Assist with recruiting efforts for meetings and research projects
- Take notes for meetings Create and format documents for internal and external uses
