Department Overview:
There will be diagnostic testing responsibilities that will need to be completed on campus that include; picking up items on campus, transferring items from WVDL to shelter med office (SVM 3rd Floor as of June 2025), completing lab work for shelter outbreak titer testing. Administrative related work can be completed on a computer remotely and may be assigned sporadically. Other responsibilities may include courier work, and inventory recording of outreach supplies for the program, and remote data entry as assigned.

Schedule:
Must have at least some availability during one or both of the hours lab work takes place, which is Wednesdays and Fridays between 2-6pm. Other hours can be flexible and vary by week. Hours tend to be around 0-4 hours per week but could be up to 15 hours per week (rare).

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Student employee will provide diagnostic testing, data entry, and administrative support to the Shelter Medicine Program to help accomplish their goals of supporting pets and people in shelters and communities across the nation. Duties include diagnostic lab testing for animal disease outbreaks, data management, word processing, courier work, and other independent projects as assigned.
