Department Overview:

As one of the top ranked programs nationally and internationally, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is proud to offer research and educational programs in civil engineering, environmental engineering, geological engineering, and environmental chemistry and technology. We have over 550 undergraduate and 170 graduate students currently enrolled in our department and more than 7,000alumni worldwide. Schedule:

To be determined during regular business hours, 7:30-4:30 Monday through Friday. We will set a schedule that works best with your classes during business hours and there will be flexibility, especially during exams.

Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) as well as Adobe and Google apps. Previous experience in an office setting a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to learn quickly, work independently, take initiative, and multi-task. Impeccable attention to detail, expert ability to create and manage basic spreadsheets, and an understanding of basic accounting practices preferred.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Filing Responsibilities (electronic & hard copy)
Photocopying/Scanning/Faxing
Ordering Supplies
Maintain office equipment
Assist faculty/staff/students with miscellaneous requests
Prepare documents
Manage main office functions: calendar management, organization, shipping and receiving non-hazardous goods, and other projects as assigned by department administrator

Physical Demands:

Lift up to 25 pounds
