Qualifications:

Required:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student
• Reliable access to a car
• Willingness to work at an off campus facility in Verona
• Willingness and ability to work in an active warehouse environment
Preferred:
• Familiarity with or interest in libraries and library software
• Ability to move boxes and materials up to 50lbs with or without accommodation

• Able to work independently or as a team on detail-oriented tasks

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Position summary:
• Handle and prepare materials in high volume for accession into the shelving facility
• Assist staff to process incoming items, receive incoming shipments, and in daily operations of the facility
• Use library software to verify bibliographic records
• Manage the facility’s inventory of storage materials and report available storage space
• Communicate and collaborate with facility staff and other student workers to resolve issues and improve workflows
• Assist with Shelving and Storage staff with other projects as assigned

Physical Demands:

- Ability to lift and move boxes or materials weighing up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation
- Ability to stand for most or all of a shift
