Department Overview:

Interdisciplinary Professional Programs (InterPro) is an office within the College of Engineering. The office seeks to fulfill the university’s commitment to the “Wisconsin Idea” by providing online graduate degree programs, non-credit professional development courses, customized training, and technical assistance to practicing professionals and organizations in a wide range of technical disciplines. The office also offers outreach programs to engineers, technical professionals, managers, and other specialists related to technology management, implementation, and career development in a variety of industry and government organizations. University of Wisconsin–Madison undergraduate students only. All majors and fields of study are encouraged to apply.

Demonstrate the following qualities:
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented
• Self-driven, efficient, and positive work ethic
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Work successfully both in a team and independently
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adopt new processes on-the-job

The following experience is required:
• Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The following experience is preferred, but not required:
• Adobe design software such as Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Cloud-based content management tools (i.e., Box)
• Comfort using Macintosh

Position Summary/Job Duties:

In this role, you’ll:
• Help set up courses and prepare materials and resources for launch
• Share status updates with the team to keep everyone in the loop
• Test out new tools and technologies, and share feedback on the user experience
• Assist with creating, editing, and organizing how-to guides and process docs
• Review instructional videos and captions to ensure accuracy and clarity
• Pitch in on special projects or other tasks that come up
