Department Overview:
The School of Journalism and Mass Communication is one of the earliest communication programs in the country and is consistently ranked as one of the best places to study communication and journalism in the world. Our school's academic programs include one undergraduate degree with two concentrations (strategic communication and reporting), two master's programs (research and professional) and a Ph.D. program. We also offer two undergraduate certificate programs in sports communication and digital media analytics.

Qualifications:
This position is open to all current UW-Madison students who have at least two semesters remaining on the UW campus. Content writing experience preferred (news reporting, web copywriting, etc.). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong time management skills and ability to complete tasks on deadline - Experience with interviewing for storytelling - Ability to translate academic research into plain language (preferred) - Creativity, initiative and strong interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and follow instructions and guidance, along with the awareness to ask questions or for help when needed. - School of Journalism and Mass Communication students preferred, but all undergraduate students that meet the position qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
