Department Overview:
We are interested in molecular mechanisms underlying various nutritional treatments and diseases in dairy cattle, using high-throughput sequencing technologies.

Qualifications:
1. At least 1 year of molecular work experience. Specifically, RNA extraction and quality check, PCR and RT-qPCR. 2. basic knowledge in animal tissue processing for RNA work
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
• Conscientious, mature, and responsible for tasks and workload • Detail-oriented with keen attention to completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work • Ability to work independently, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Position Summary/Job Duties:
• Working with large animals (dairy calves and dairy cows) • Preparation for tissue sample collection and storage • Assisting with tissue collection via necropsies and biopsies • RNA extraction and associated quality check
Physical Demands:
be able to lift up to 40lbs of feed or lab equipment
