Department Overview:
The Industrial Refrigeration Consortium is a collaboration between the UW and industry to improve the safety, efficiency, reliability, and functionality of industrial refrigeration systems, primarily using ammonia as the refrigerant.

Schedule:
Hours are flexible and we can work around student schedules. We anticipate 5-10 hours during the school year and up to 30 hours during the summer and/or other breaks.

Qualifications:
Experience in common third-party APIs (Google) Proven software development experience in PHP or Object Oriented Programming (PHP is readily learnable with prior development experience)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, and SQL Good knowledge of relational databases Passion for best design and coding practices, a desire to develop new ideas and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Position Summary/Job Duties:
The Industrial Refrigeration Consortium at the College of Engineering is looking for a student to work as a part-time Full Stack developer. You will be responsible for the frontend and backend development and maintenance of our website, www.irc.wisc.edu. This job is a great career development opportunity for students who want to get engaging development experience while still attending school.
Physical Demands:
Ability to use a computer to develop websites, meet over video conferencing software such as Microsoft Teams, and ability to replace computer components as needed.
