Qualifications:
Highly qualified applicants generally have taken courses in chemistry, biology, and/or computer science and are majoring in a STEM field. Previous experience with laboratory procedures and/or other hand's on work is desirable. Attention to detail, reliability, ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately, work independently, and perform tasks efficiently are necessary.

Position Summary/Job Duties:
Entry level undergraduate student lab assistant position in a bacterial genetics research lab. Washing and sterilizing laboratory glassware, preparing chemical solutions and culture media, and general lab upkeep and organization. Additional microbiology-related duties are possible as experience increases and time allows.
