Department Overview:

We offer flexible hours & are located on campus! The ideal candidate would be available to work in office on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Minimum: $15.00 Maximum: $17.00

Qualifications:

--UW-Madison Student (preferably majoring in Marketing, Communications/Journalism, or related field)
--Experience with MS Office Suite and Google Suite
--Experience with Canva
--Experience with WebEx/Softphones
--Employment will require a criminal background check
-- Student must be enrolled for credit at an educational institution. Student will need to show proof of enrollment before starting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

--Strong writing/editing skills
--Attention to detail
--Dependable and reliable
--Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks at once
--Ability to work as part of a team and independently
--Good communication skills
--Working knowledge of Facebook/LinkedIn/Instagram/X(Twitter)


Experience with the following programs/platforms is a plus:
--Adobe Design Suite
--Emma

Experience creating visually appealing graphics and following brand strategy preferred.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Our student worker will support our outreach and marketing efforts in the execution of social media posts, campaigns, and other outreach endeavors.

Tasks Include:
--Creating, Posting, and Curating social media content and graphics
--Researching and compiling reports on current trends using our key competitors and their social platforms
--Analyzing data from our social posts and adjusting our content strategy in conjunction with our Communications and Outreach Coordinator
--Creating boilerplate templates and images
--Researching new marketing opportunities
--Other admin tasks as assigned
